A consumer of time now realizes that half a year of one’s lives is spent showering, they want to make the most use of these 10 minutes and not elongate the process. Think to how many times you’ve dropped your shampoo or knocked over your shower caddy- a probable half a minute added onto your shower. This is another 10 days of your life lost in the shower. A 10 day vacation in Jamaica is now gone (or having watched all the episodes of Lost & Battlestar Galactica combined), is this the opportunity cost you’re willing to make?
The average person spends 182 days in the shower during their lifetime. This period making ourselves presentable to the outside world is both a blessing and burden, scraping valuable minutes from writing tweets, contracts and rent checks in exchange for clean, smoother, healthier-looking skin™

Fear; creativity most deadly enemy. After doing some research on the best companies to work for in the United States, and being an owner of a small company in New York. I understood that it is indeed fear what makes people not only give up on their dreams but become tight about “comfort” in any given place or situation. For example, a manager of a SME. His or her biggest fear is losing their jobs from a person below them, making them become uncertain about their position everyday. In other words, fear makes people uptight and lose perspective of others’ feelings. DECLARATION ON A CULTURE OF PEACE: Article 2: Progress in the fuller development of a culture of peace comes about through values, attitudes, modes of behavior and ways of life conducive to the promotion of peace among individuals, groups and nations. Today is an important day for everyone. Today we celebrate our friends. In 2011, the UN General Assembly with the idea that friendship between peoples, countries, cultures and individuals can inspire peace efforts and build bridges between communities proclaimed this day as the International Day of Friendship.Sadly, not all of us are privileged to say “I have a best friend.” However, there is always that someone who is always by your side for better or worse (not a wife or a husband) -- is it to listen, give advice, or just… be there. Friends... As the game has 6 more days to be launched in PS3, the team and Ubisoft decided to start a competition called Infinity Cup. Both teams had to contact YouTube members with a high amount of subscribers and asked them to participate in the cup. This is an amazing before-launch promotion/advertisement for any game.
In today’s world we are obligated to push our limits due to the need of developing special abilities that will prepared us for the challenges of work and life. These abilities also known as the 21st Century skills will not enable young and adults to be academically competitive in their fields, but also increased the level of awareness in their community, atmosphere, and everyday activities. I have identified what I believe are critical skills that if mastered will equip people with the necessary tools to understand their strengths and weaknesses. However, this skills are hard to identify due to the high pressured path we are putting are children in. For example, today’s children are spoiled and are led to believe that they can do anything they want. But, is it really this kind of mentality we want to teach them?
Pretty much everyone knows already that I am doing my master's at Columbia University, but few of you know how difficult it was to be accepted at an IVY League University. On my previous post, I talked about my fears and doubts of staying in New York, I didn't write or explained what made me change my mind (will do on another post), but for the sake of it, let's say Columbia was one of the major reasons for not to leave. Columbia University in the City of New York, top #8 in the world, USA colonial university, known for it's intense curriculum and high quality programs in Law, Business, Psychology, Journalism, Politics etc. |
