Meine Meinung, a new type of music…?

As social media increases, our chances to expose our work gets easier. This doesn’t mean they are good at it or have the talent to continue torturing others. Today’s generation prefers things that are not “mainstream.” In other words, a rest from all the dissatisfaction we get from the “real” world. It is understandable though, that they are inclined to watch people failing or people getting hurt type of videos because this is a constant reminder that there are worse situations out there. However, A few weeks ago as I was surfing the web I came across an amazing band, Meine Meinung.  

They are a Japanese pop band that tries different styles and also play game songs such as Final Fantasy, Mario Bros, Dragon Quest Etc. Here's a sample:

Meine Meinung comes from German meaning “My Opinion.” This is quite an interesting name for a Japanese band due to the country it's known for their kibishi (strict) rules everyone has to follow. Moreover, they are used to not chasing their dreams but rather following the “Japanese way,” which makes them ignore their passions and become a “sarari- man.” Therefore, I believe Meine Meinung's objective is to show their opinion (soul) by trying and creating new sources of music.
