“It was a dark and lonely night; and there I was waiting for my companion to arrive and begin our 10th year anniversary’s tradition. It seemed like she and I come from distant worlds and somehow I picture myself battling against liquid metal armor soldiers with a shield covered with crazy moving nasty spines and a devil-looking helmet covering most of their face. However, letting not myself get into a tremulous feeling of quivering fear; this is where I create and imagine myself flying to the shadows of ignition crossing from winter to summer and from fall to spring year by year sucking in every essence of energy left in this rotten world to battle them.”
There is a reason why many young people can not find their way today, find their true passion and/or most importantly know who they are; Is not to blame nor to point fingers, however adults and this high-paced world are giving less time to meditate to the young generation.

Last month there was a racism issue in Arizona where 3 white girls posted a video on YouTube regarding Arizona’s immigration law; there, they practically insulted, verbally massacred the Mexican community. I am not here to defend or play against someone, however my beliefs and most importantly my opinion comes from experience (Being bullied and bullied, drugs, sex, alcohol, poorness, wealthiness and the list goes on) it is not their fault; we are all born innocent, it is our surroundings, parents, media T.V that poisons our minds, as a child we don’t distinguish between colors and we don’t care if h/she is black, purple, white, brown, Hispanic, Latin, European etc. I wonder if someday I would feel comfortable by being Hispanic in this country, sometimes I feel it doesn’t has anything to do with where I am; if I decide to live abroad and if I am still not accepting myself, the possibilities of feel not only comfortable but satisfied with myself are null.
1. Why can’t we live in a world of equity and similar rights?
2. Who decided that America is the land of the dreams?
3. And why do people from all over the world believe in the American dream?
Actually this is quite easy to answer.
If you believe in chances and most importantly if you believe that you have what it takes to be what you want to be and willing to fight until you get it; you will be able to understand the “American Way”
Why do people hate Americans? – because they speak what’s in their mind and don’t let anyone mess with their ideals or goals, one of the things that amazes the most is, they don’t care if they are 25 or 35 to start studying for a GED or change majors or transfer to a different industry; in which in other cases such as in East Asia they look at you as if what F&&*k are you doing? You’re life is over; In America NOTHING is over until you die, another reason why YoungER Generations cannot concentrate.
In America they give you a lot of options, Music, Law, Engineering, History among others or the newest trend become a Lawyer-engineer, get your GED and Associates in less than 2 years, study Journalism and Business Administration and earn your Bachelor’s in 3 years!. This trend is not only confusing people but making them stupider, they are not making their life easier just because there was actually a person who didn’t know if he wanted to study Journalism or Business Administration, furthermore they are not focusing as they used to because is not possible with all these selective courses you may choose from. That is why you see people with 2 or 3 even 4 master degrees.
In my case I decided 7 years ago with my mother’s help to discover who am I and what would I like to leave this world after passing away by going to Leadership programs, Neuro-linguistic Programming classes, Psychology, International Education courses etc. and what I learnt from this was that people usually focus on what is possible for them to understand: “Don’t give up”, “Keep Trying” but don’t give up on something that was set as your dream or is it really what you’re fighting for your true desire?
How do you we try to understand ourselves? – easy, by eliminating distractions and focusing on only you and no one else; in other words I ask to myself every morning a simple question such as What’s your favorite color? – White, is it? Or is it that only today is my favorite color?
Being able to understand yourself and what you go through might be seen as an Herculean task but why don’t give us some 30 minutes a day to answer simple questions; we spend nearly 5 hours a day on our personal computer and T.V
